Stop letting scope creep and copy procrastination delay your design projects and cost you clients

Inside Scope Blend, you'll get a copywriting guide your clients actually use, learn how to sell your clients on the importance of good copy, and get all the resources you need to start every project with completed copy in hand.

    launching Sept. 29!

Your clients rarely hire a copywriter, but all of them need website copy.

    The neverending website designer dilemma:

Whether copywriting isn't in the budget for your clients, doesn't fit into their deadlines, or isn't something they're willing to consider: you still need website copy when you start a project to shape your wireframes, inform your design decisions, and help your clients get the results they hired you for.

Unfortunately, pretending copy isn't your problem makes it an even bigger problem down the road.

(That yes, *you'll* be the one dealing witH)

It seems easier to avoid the copy conversation entirely until you've booked the project (because you do need to book the project, after all), so you don't bring it up until you're onboarding your client. But when you don't make copy sound important, they assume it isn't.

So, they ignore your affiliate link for copy templates and forget about the whole thing until your kickoff call ("Oh, shoot! I can get that to you ASAP!")...then feel caught off guard by their copy, annoyed when their project gets delayed, and resentful during the revision process because nothing sounds (and therefore, looks) the way they wanted.

When your process is prepared for clients who need to DIY their own copy, everything gets easier.

You're back to focusing on design (your true love) and can jump straight into wireframes with ready-to-go copy.

    You enjoy your work again

    Project Boundaries aren't crossed

Your clients understand how important copy is, and what their responsibilities for providing it are.

    Your clients feel more supported

You can set your clients up for copy success in less than an hour, even if they don't hire a copywriter.

Your clients get better results, you get better reviews, and you become (even more) highly recommended.

You get Better reviews & Bookings

It's time to embrace scope blend.

Want to make scope creep a thing of the past? You'll need resources to support your clients with writing their own copy and a plan for integrating it into your client process without taking on hours of unnecessary work.

    Inside The Scope Blend Curriculum

All lessons are available in both video and audio (private podcast) format.

    Module 1

    The Copy Conversation

    You’ll learn how to…..

Set boundaries with clients around copy, without feeling like a jerk or losing the project

Audit and strategically improve your own website copy, so it starts the copy conversation before you even get on a discovery call

Talk to clients about website copy, hiring a copywriter, and expectations for writing their own copy

    Join the waitlist

Having hard conversations with clients is, well, hard — but talking about copy shouldn't be. In this module, you'll learn how to confidently lead the copy conversation so clients know exactly what they'll need to do before your project starts.

    Module 2

    Seamless Copy Collection

    Inside, you'll get resources like...

Email swipe files for sending your clients their guides, checking in on their progress, and keeping your project on track

White-label “how to write content” videos to get them started (so you don’t have to record 45 things each time you onboard)

Copy guides you can quickly customize and send, so clients have guidelines they actually get (includes e-comm, service providers, and sales page editions)

    Join the waitlist

If your clients opt to provide their own copy, you can't just say, "Okay, it's due when we start!" — I'll give you the non-overwhelming copywriting guide they need to actually get it done, and do it on time. All you'll need to do is add it to their onboarding homework!

    Module 3

    From Draft To Design

    Inside this module, you’ll get…..

A scope-blended lesson on how to turn your client’s draft into design, including appropriate use of italics/text accents and conversion tricks

A recorded lesson on how to lightly edit client copy, if AI isn’t your jam

A Claude AI editing assistant that can directly suggest changes on your behalf (making you look even smarter and more thoughtful), or provide you with a list of quick changes to make

    Join the waitlist

Any copy draft needs a few edits before heading to the design phase — but I'm guessing you have zero interest in flashing back to grammar rules and punctuation details, so I built you an assistant who will happily do it for you.

    Module 4

    Sticky Situations

Email and conversation scripts you can use at every point in your client experience, from mentioning copy in proposals to setting deadlines for when content needs to be submitted

A database of sticky client situations (and space to submit yours for help!) with ideas for what to say

    Join the waitlist

No matter how prepared you are, sticky situations WILL happen with client copy. That doesn't mean they have to derail your entire project or ruin the relationship, though! I'll help you through each one, so you never run out of the right words to say.

Scope Blend was designed to pay for itself.

Inside Scope Blend, you'll learn how to provide better copy support and how to make it a selling point for clients, so you can close more projects. If it helps you book even one more design client, you've earned your investment back!

You’re unprepared when clients ask for copy resources and have to create something from scratch each time (or worse, you say no and set yourself up for even more issues)

Each project includes hours of back and forth, because your client didn’t send enough copy (or sent WAY too much)

The revisions process is hell, because the content process didn’t help clients feel satisfied with their words — so they want edits for the design and the content

You're constantly scrambling when it comes to projects, because there's no clear place in your client process for handling copy — so every project handles it differently (*cough* and chaotically *cough*)

      Before Scope Blend

      After Scope Blend

You book clients more easily, thanks to an offer that stands out. While other designers are asking clients to choose between spending thousands of dollars on copy and having zero support, you have a system that meets them where they are

You have a ready-to-send content guide for every client — customized in under 5 minutes — so you look polished and prepared even when you're winging it a little

Revision rounds stay where they belong: on the design. Clients come in satisfied with their content, so the feedback is actually about your work

Your client process has clear copy checkpoints — and you have the scripts, tools, and resources to handle it every time, no matter how the project shakes out

      Here's what else becomes possible

Your clients need more than a copy template.

Your clients hire you so they don't have to deal with their own website, and copy templates are geared towards people who want to deal with their copy.

The Scope Blend copy guide meets your clients where they are: in need of a better website, unable to dedicate hours to getting it, and likely uninterested in learning the finer details of writing copy.

It offers quick, understandable prompts, plug-and-play ideas for every line, and helps your clients give you all the material you need to successfully design their site, without anyone getting overwhelmed in the process.

This course is for website designers who...

      • Can't get their clients to write their own copy
      • Don't always get to collaborate with copywriters for projects
      • Are tired of having to explain the value of copy on repeat
      • Want to be able to focus on selling their services on discovery calls, not also selling copy
      • Are willing to make small shifts to their client process to offer better DIY copywriting resources

This course is *not* right for website designers who...

      • Collaborate with copywriters on every project, and don't typically have clients who write their own copy
      • Want to learn how to write copy and offer it as an add-on or service
      • Aren't willing to customize, send, and use a tool to lightly edit client copywriting guides
      • Want absolutely nothing to do with copy (even if this course makes it much easier to deal with 😉)

      Frequently Asked Questions

Is the content creation guide inside of Scope Blend the same thing as your Skip The Stuck! website copy templates? +

No, because business owners who want to write their own copy and business owners who are hiring out their website work aren't the same target audience — so they need different resources. The content creation guides inside Scope Blend are designed to be [FINISH THIS SENTENCE — your original text was cut off here].

Will this teach me how to write website copy? +

Nope! Scope Blend isn't a copywriting course, and it won't turn you into a copywriter. What it will do is give you a system for getting better content from clients who are writing their own — so you spend less time filling in the gaps and more time doing what you like. If you're looking to improve your own writing, you'll love Cook Your Copy.

Is this just for Showit website designers? Will this process work with any platform? +

Nope! Whether you're building on Showit, Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, or anything else — the Scope Blend resources work exactly the same way. The content creation guides are Google Docs, the editing assistant runs through Claude, and the swipe scripts are just words. None of it is platform-specific.

What software/subscriptions will I need to use this content? +

The content creation guides are Google Doc templates, so you'll need a Google account (free). The editing assistant runs through Claude — a free account works, though a paid plan gives you more usage. If you want the assistant to make edits directly inside your client's Google Doc in suggesting mode, you'll need Claude's desktop app (Cowork). Everything else lives inside Scope Blend and doesn't require any additional tools.

I'm still pretty new to web design. Is Scope Blend right for me? +

If you're actively taking on client projects and running into copy chaos (or want to get ahead of it before it starts), yes. Scope Blend is designed to slot into whatever client process you already have — or help you build one. You don't need years of experience to benefit from having better resources and knowing what to say.

I already recommend a copywriter to clients who need one. Do I still need this? +

Recommending a copywriter is great — and you should absolutely keep doing that for clients who can swing it. But Scope Blend is for the majority who can't, and who still need to write their own content without making your project a nightmare. Having a referral is not the same as having a system.

How long will I have access? +

How does forever sound? When you join, you'll get lifetime access to Scope Blend (check the full terms and conditions for fine print about "lifetime").

      What's your refund policy? +

Due to the instant delivery and nature of digital products, refunds are not available. All sales are final.

Do you have an affiliate program? +

Yes, I sure do! You can join my affiliate program for Scope Blend here.
