for website designers who want better diy copy from clients

Your clients rarely hire a copywriter, but all of them need website copy.

    The neverending website designer dilemma:

Whether copywriting isn't in the budget for your clients, doesn't fit into their deadlines, or isn't something they're willing to consider: you still need website copy when you start a project to shape your wireframes, inform your design decisions, and help your clients get the results they hired you for.

Unfortunately, pretending copy isn't your problem makes it an even bigger problem down the road.

(That yes, *you'll* be the one dealing witH)

It seems easier to avoid the copy conversation entirely until you've booked the project (because you do need to book the project, after all), so you don't bring it up until you're onboarding your client. But when you don't make copy sound important, they assume it isn't.

So, they ignore your affiliate link for copy templates and forget about the whole thing until your kickoff call ("Oh, shoot! I can get that to you ASAP!")...then feel caught off guard by their copy, annoyed when their project gets delayed, and resentful during the revision process because nothing sounds (and therefore, looks) the way they wanted.

And no, buying a commercial website copy template isn't the fix you're hoping for.

If someone is hiring you so that they don't have to deal with their own website, they don't want to deal with their own copy...which doesn't mean they magically have a copy budget, but it does mean they're not interested in using a template created for people who want to learn copywriting.

Your clients don't want a resource that feels like another thing to do — but they do need a way to make writing good website copy easier, so they get it done without delaying your project.

When your process is prepared for clients who need to DIY their own copy, everything gets easier.

You're back to focusing on design (your true love) and can jump straight into wireframes with ready-to-go copy.

    You enjoy your work again

    Project Boundaries aren't crossed

Your clients understand how important copy is, and what their responsibilities for providing it are.

    Your clients feel more supported

You can set your clients up for copy success in less than an hour, even if they don't hire a copywriter.

Your clients get better results, you get better reviews, and you become (even more) highly recommended.

It's time to embrace scope blend.

Confuse design clients with overformatting (wireframing is what you're for!) and decision fatigue (What quotes go where? What page should FAQ go on?)

Don't mentally or emotionally prepare clients to provide their own copy, making the template feel like an unwelcome burden rather than an easy expectation

Up to $4,000 for a single template and unlimited client usage

    best value!

"I review client website copy constantly, and this is going to be so helpful. This goes into the doc and makes the edits in suggesting mode, so they see the exact rewrite!”

"I assumed this would hand me a list of notes I’d then have to go implement myself, but it’s SO much better than that."

    Copywriting Guides

The Scope Blend copywriting guides were crafted with care to avoid overwhelming your clients, so they actually get completed.

    • Easy fill-in-the-blanks format allows clients to see what's left with a quick glance
    • Provided via Google Docs for convenient sharing and editing
    • Prompts and instructions focus on getting it done, not teaching theory
    • Includes AI prompt to reduce generic language, prime chats to write better copy, and work with your clients' preferred approach
    • Three versions: service providers, e-commerce, long-form sales pages

Neither of us want your clients to use AI to write their copy — but that doesn't matter

If they're going to do it, they're going to do it — so each guide includes education on the pros and cons of AI copy, and a prompt to eliminate the common AI "tells" (so content doesn't sound cookie-cutter).

This is NOT the kind of course you'll join, skim, and forget about: every resource inside was designed to make implementing things easy, including these email swipe scripts.

You'll get pre-written emails to customize and copy-paste into your CRM for everything from:

    • Replying to inquiries
    • Scheduling discovery calls
    • Sending a proposal
    • Sending copywriter recommendations
    • Setting boundaries with copy
    • Dealing with ROUGH drafts

    Email Swipe Scripts

    Editing Assistant

The included Claude editing assistant skill is trained to edit copy with website best practices in mind and eliminate common AI "tells," so your clients' copy sounds more natural.

It works on free Claude plans and can be used in Cowork (give it Google Drive access and watch it make suggestions as you, while adding helpful context for clients) or as a chat that tells you which edits to make.

If you don't use AI in your studio, there's also a lesson on making simple copy edits to strengthen a client's draft by hand.

Use in Cowork to make direct suggestions in drafts!

Let's make good copy and good sales more accessible.

      Our clients deserve nothing less.

      Hi! I'm Amy

As a website designer-turned-copywriter, I know my way around a website design project from every angle — and I'm here to make life easier for you and your clients.

Because as much as I (and you, probably) wish they could: not all of our clients will be able to hire a copywriter and a designer, but all of our clients need copy. I created Scope Blend to make sure you can still confidently give them support and resources, without having to add deliverables or hours to your project timelines.

Scope Blend was made for website designers who...

Are burned out from project delays

You want to know when your projects will be done so you can book the next — not have every single one postponed due to copy and endless revisions.

Want to justify a rate increase

Copy helps a website design get results — and with a more supportive process and proven client wins, you'll be raising your prices in no time.

Don't often book projects with copywriters

Can confirm: this is the standard! Odds are, not many of your clients will be able to hire a copywriter — but they'll all need copy, which means you need to be ready.

Don't want to become (or hire) copywriters

You don't want to hire a team, and you're happy designing (without writing) — but you need good material to work with to be able to do your job well.

Don't know what to do with long-ass drafts

You know the ones — where your client sends a "brain dump" that's nowhere near what copy should be, and need a plan for both preventing & dealing with it.

Yet another course that floods you with lessons? No, thanks.

You don't fuck around with your time — and neither do I. That's why all Scope Blend lessons are <30 minutes, available as a private podcast (in addition to videos with slides), and the curriculum prioritizes usable resources like a discovery call cheat sheet over a list of shit you'll have to memorize and apply off the top of your head.

You’re unprepared when clients ask for copy resources and have to create something from scratch each time (or worse, you say no and set yourself up for even more issues).

Each project includes hours of back and forth, because your client didn’t send enough copy (or sent WAY too much).

The revisions process is hell, because the content process didn’t help clients feel satisfied with their words — so they want edits for the design and the content.

You're constantly scrambling when it comes to projects, because there's no clear place in your client process for handling copy — so every project handles it differently (*cough* and chaotically *cough*).

      Before Scope Blend

      After Scope Blend

You book clients more easily, thanks to an offer that stands out. While other designers are asking clients to choose between spending thousands of dollars on copy and having zero support, you have a system that meets them where they are.

You have a ready-to-send content guide for every client — customized in under 5 minutes — so you look polished and prepared even when you're winging it a little.

Revision rounds stay where they belong: on the design. Clients come in satisfied with their content, so the feedback is actually about your work.

Your client process has clear copy checkpoints — and you have the scripts, tools, and resources to handle it every time, no matter how the project shakes out.

This course is for website designers who...

      • Can't get their clients to write their own copy
      • Don't always get to collaborate with copywriters for projects
      • Are tired of having to explain the value of copy on repeat
      • Want to be able to focus on selling their services on discovery calls, not also selling copy
      • Are willing to make small shifts to their client process to offer better DIY copywriting resources

This course is *not* right for website designers who...

      • Collaborate with copywriters on every project, and don't typically have clients who write their own copy
      • Want to learn how to write copy and offer it as an add-on or service
      • Aren't willing to customize, send, and use a tool to lightly edit client copywriting guides
      • Want absolutely nothing to do with copy (even if this course makes it much easier to deal with 😉)

      Frequently Asked Questions

Is the copy guide inside of Scope Blend the same thing as your Skip The Stuck! website copy templates? +

No, because business owners who want to write their own copy and business owners who are hiring out their website work aren't the same target audience — so they need different resources. The copy guides inside Scope Blend are designed to be handed directly to your clients by you, their designer. They walk non-writers through the process of writing their own website content with structured prompts — so you get what you need without the back-and-forth. Skip The Stuck! is for business owners working independently on their own copy, without a designer in the picture.

Will this teach me how to write website copy? +

Nope! Scope Blend isn't a copywriting course, and it won't turn you into a copywriter. What it will do is give you a system for getting better content from clients who are writing their own — so you spend less time filling in the gaps and more time doing what you like. If you're looking to improve your own writing, you'll love Cook Your Copy.

Is this just for Showit website designers? Will this process work with any platform? +

Nope! Whether you're building on Showit, Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, or anything else — the Scope Blend resources work exactly the same way. The copy guides are Google Docs, the editing assistant runs through Claude, and the swipe scripts are just words. None of it is platform-specific.

What software/subscriptions will I need to use this system? +

The copy guides are Google Doc templates, so you'll need a Google account (free). The editing assistant runs through Claude — a free account works, though a paid plan gives you more usage. If you want the assistant to make edits directly inside your client's Google Doc in suggesting mode, you'll need Claude's desktop app (Cowork). Everything else lives inside Scope Blend and doesn't require any additional tools.

I'm still pretty new to web design. Is Scope Blend right for me? +

If you're actively taking on client projects and running into copy chaos (or want to get ahead of it before it starts), yes. Scope Blend is designed to slot into whatever client process you already have — or help you build one. You don't need years of experience to benefit from having better resources and knowing what to say.

I already recommend a copywriter to clients who need one. Do I still need this? +

Recommending a copywriter is great — and you should absolutely keep doing that for clients who can swing it. But Scope Blend is for the majority who can't, and who still need to write their own content without making your project a nightmare. Having a referral is not the same as having a system.

How long will I have access? +

How does forever sound? When you join, you'll get lifetime access to Scope Blend (check the full terms and conditions for fine print about "lifetime").

      What's your refund policy? +

Due to the instant delivery and nature of digital products, refunds are not available. All sales are final.

Do you have an affiliate program? +

Yes, I sure do! You can join my affiliate program for Scope Blend here.
