For a girl so thoroughly obsessed with planners and notebooks, you wouldn’t think that January would sneak up on me — but here we are.
Again.
And this is the first year quite literally ever that I don’t feel the need to ~reinvent~ myself completely, because 2025 was one of the best personal years I’ve ever had!
I worked with clients I love.
I made good business decisions that have only felt BETTER over time.
I have a VERY clear picture of where I want to be at this time next year, and most importantly:
I know what I am and am not willing to do in order to get it.
So without further ado, welcome to my…
2026 Business Goals
#1 – Launch Three New-ish Offers
They actually don’t feel new at this point, but in January 2026, I’m launching the very first live round of my new messaging & website copy group program! As I was building it, I was VERY intentional about creating content that could become a standalone course, because my two new offers for 2026 will be:
- Turning Camp Cornerstone into an evergreen course, with two live sessions throughout the year! The recorded content will be the same for both, but live sessions will include 8 weeks of Slack access, unlimited materials reviews, and coworking calls for accountability + ideas.
- Launching the “Skip The Stuck!” website copy template shop! Or should I say: re-launching it, because I’ve had website copy templates for a while – but I’ve made some changes to how I deliver them to make it even easier for you to write your copy. With each version of the Skip The Stuck template, you’ll get a base copy template AND specific lessons on how to adapt your copy to your specific audience, by industry. It’s going to be EXTREMELY cool, and I’m pre-emptively obsessed with it.
- …I actually can’t talk about this one yet. But it’s coming to the shop, and it’s GOOOOOD.
And I am making one minor change to my copywriting services: re-adding Showit template customization as a project enhancement option! I actually always used to include design in projects, but craved the simplicity of copy-only projects — so this feels like a perfect way to add in a design option as an all-in-one solution, while also keeping my list of favorite designers for business owners who’d rather have a custom site.
#2 – Grow My Audience
I plan to measure this by the size of my email list for simplicity, so here’s how I plan to do it:
- Focusing on long-form content and repurposing topics between my blog, Youtube, & podcast
- Intentionally using EVERY platform to promote freebies + my newsletter
- Re-working my (current) three freebies to fit more neatly into overall copywriting/website content, so it makes sense for them to be included in all of the above
- Re-writing and publishing new welcome sequences for each freebie
I have a specific subscriber goal but it’s completely made-up, and doesn’t feel worth sharing because we’re all in different boats – so I’m just going to say it’s to 5x my list and be done with it.
And of course, I’ll still be sending out my weekly newsletter every Thursday – it is my favorite marketing task, after all (if you’re not on it – WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Click here to fix that)
#3 – Put On My Horse Blinders
…AKA, actually hold myself to the boundaries + capacity that work for my life! And then ignore what everyone else is doing with their lives, because we simply are not running the same races! 🏇
2025 felt like a year to push: what I could do, how many projects I could take on, how much I could make — the theme was “MORE!”
2026 feels like the year to pull back from the things that aren’t working, and ruthlessly declutter my life.
And so far, I’ve already…
✅ Mapped out my capacity for *new* website copywriting projects for ALL of 2026 (and I’m low key already booked through January + February, so…reach out now if you’re planning a Q1 redo!)
✅ Set up a few systems to communicate that capacity to potential clients in a way that feels inviting, not alienating
✅ Hired Ally’s team for an analytics build in January, so I actually KNOW what’s working & what’s not
✅Started planning my Youtube & podcast content for Q1
#4 – Always Be At Least 2 Weeks Ahead
Because if you fail to plan, and all that.
As I’m writing this in VERY late December 2025, I haven’t written a newsletter in three weeks thanks to a batch-writing session I had earlier this month – and OMGGGGG has it felt good to not be scrambling! One of my #1 priorities is to batch content even further in advance, so that my posting schedule (!!! WHO IS SHE?!) is always ahead, and I can actually just… relax? Rest if I get sick? Not feel like my brain is on fire?
Wild.
#5 – Done-For-You Only(ish)
This one makes me laugh because at the time I’m writing this, done-for-you being “dead” is the main clickbait-y topic on my Threads — and here I am, committing to ONLY investing in DFY services in 2026!
For the record, I LOVE courses. I love workshops. I love resources.
But at this point in my business, I don’t have time to get the most out of huge courses — and I do have the revenue to buy back my time by getting experts to do things for me!
YAY!
So here’s my (main) investment list for 2026, and the rest can wait forever, as far as I’m concerned:
- Low-key, laid-back business coaching with my friend Sara — I’m actually at a point where I don’t really need a ton of strategic help, but I’m happiest and most energized in my business when I have encouragement and someone to bounce ideas off! She changed her mentorship program to be mostly Slack-based and for 12 whole months, so having support without more calls on my cal is ideal.
- BOOKKEEPING. May I never do it again myself, amen. Go hire Molly, thank me later.
- Podcast management (!): this is a new investment for 2026, and I’m SO glad to have Adrienne around to handle everything for me other than the actual yapping. It’s THE thing I need to make my podcast stay fun, and I’m already obsessed with not having to think about anything but talking.
#6 – Launch My New Brand & Website!
This is happening in quite literally the first week of 2026! After wrapping up my rebrand with Gem Creative Co. in December 2025, I’ve been working SO FREAKING HARD behind the scenes to redo my website and get everything ready… and I’m also planning tons of behind-the-scenes content to come out after I launch!
Habits I’m Keeping In 2026
FITNESS: 2025 was the year of beginning with fitness. I joined a new group fitness gym in January, went to that gym 226 times (!), ran a 5k comfortably, and got my first unassisted pull-up (this was my MAIN goal for 2025!).
I’m not changing anything about the regularity of my gym workouts, and because it’s a group fitness setup, I’m not in charge of programming them (thank the LORD!) — so my main fitness goal is literally just this:
✅ Go all the way to “one.”
(Slash, actually count my reps if it’s not a time-based workout)
I’ve found myself getting a little ~abstract~ with reps lately, and notice quite a bit more progress with my strength levels when I actually follow the whole workout (wow, who knew?) so now that I’m used to showing up, my plan is simply to show all the way up and complete reps/moves until the countdown is actually complete.
COWORKING: I’m regularly getting out of the house to cowork with colleagues at least 2-3x/month, and it feels REALLY good to just…get out of the house. I’m planning to keep that up as much as possible in 2026!
HOME ROUTINES, KIND OF!: As the flexible entrepreneur parent (to my husband’s corporate 9-to-5 setup, which will likely demand more hours next year), our home is like…80% my job. I’m here all the time. I’m the one who does school pickup and spends afternoon with our kids. The everyday chores are mostly my thing.
Which I’m *kind of* fine with in theory, and have done a better job of keeping up with things like meal planning, cooking, and laundry (ew) — but I still actively avoid most of them, so next year I’m planning to figure out EVERYTHING that makes this easier for me, and just do it – because I simply cannot continue feeling behind on laundry, not knowing what’s for dinner at 5 pm, and saying we’ll get our shit together with the house soon.
Soon is now. Hold me to it.
Habits I’m Forming In 2026
TIDINESS: I’m becoming a tidy person in 2026! Naming it & claiming it! I’m incredibly organized when it comes to work and my business, but since having kids — I feel constantly behind on our house, and find myself saying “screw it” more than I’d like.
I’m starting with:
- A whole-house declutter in January
- A nightly home reset
I’d list more, but then I won’t do them 🙂 And ya girl NEEDS to do them.
MEAL PLANNING/NUTRITION STUFF: Like, actually planning. Based on what we eat, not what that one cookbook author who somehow makes everything from scratch with cage-free vegetables or whatever eats.
I’m starting with:
- Creating 3-4 weeks of meal plans for dinners that go together, the same lunch every day, and the 2-3 breakfasts on repeat throughout. Done.
- Working with Kim on some nutrient deficiencies & my gut health – then returning the favor by writing her website in early 2026 (with an extra-inside view of all the cool things she does for busy moms who want to stop feeling like shit)
*CONSCIOUS* SPENDING: I don’t think a full “no spend year” is for me, despite my deep envy of people who can pull this off — but I DO plan to…
- Check my budget app daily
- Quit big box stores as much as possible
- Buy secondhand things first, most of the time
- Reduce our food waste
- Give up takeout coffee for a few months (unless I’m coworking at a coffee shop, then all bets are off)
It’s astonishing to me how quickly it feels like I don’t know where our money goes, and fixing that is one of my top priorities this year.
WALKING: On my walking pad (AKA, my free Marketplace treadmill with a piece of scrap wood holding my laptop) now, and with my kids when it’s warmer.
BRICKING: My phone, of course — to turn off social media on weekends, and hopefully to pick up an analog hobby or two in the meantime!
Other Stuff I’m Looking Forward To
- A road trip to Florida with my kids + in-laws this summer
- Maybe planning and taking our first parents-only trip…?
- Making the most of the kid-friendly memberships we got for Christmas
- Taking most of the summer off (!) to do the above
- The trip to Cape Cod I’m manifesting
- Renovating our primary bathroom!
26 is my lucky number, so this year is basically destined to be my best ever.
And how could it not be, with a good attitude, clients who turn into friends, and friends who have turned into a village?!
